Our work braids genomic and traditional knowledges with an equitable, decentralized approach into Conservation Challenges that come to life on The Wise Ancestors Platform.
Each Conservation Challenge is a crowdfunding campaign for a species-specific project co-created with Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities to generate genomic information and fund a locally led conservation initiative.
Our community engagement process precedes all technical work, ensuring community values lead the way, that free, prior, and informed consent is established and data governance practices honor community rights and Indigenous data sovereignty. You can learn more about our values here.
